Road Blockers

 

Specifications:

NAFA Engineering Products Factory produces Road Blockers in accordance to any specifications or conditions required. Specifications for standard design and production is as follows:

Design

The Blocker design is registered with KACST

Impact 

Blocker is designed to disable and block vehicles traveling at a speed of 60 KM per hour with gross weight of 30 tons.

Width   1100 mm
Length 1000 mm Module to create any length desired
Height (Blocker Depth)  When opened:

*
800 mm, from ground level, normal position
* Any other height can be provided in accordance with customer desires
Depth (well)  800 mm
Materials * Blocker arms are made of 8mm solid steel section (minimum 2 arms per meter)
* Top cover is made of 10 mm thick chequered steel plate.
Paint 

* For dry areas three coats of red oxide primer paint. Three coats of final color.

Operation

* Blocker is operated through a control panel located at guard station.
* Hydraulic operated piston. Manufactured in Saudi Arabia with full guarantee (no less than 2 pistons per blocker)
* One oil storage tank sized to the unit.
* Long life cycle for piston with proper maintenance.

Speed * 4 seconds for hydraulic system.
* Adjustable speed for closing.
Stroke valve * To guarantee that the blocker remains fixed in its raised or lowered position and electric current is disconnected
Drainage

* Water is drained to the manhole then to drainage pit under the manhole.

Options:

Housing

Blocker is placed inside a specially designed well. Well walls are reinforced concrete with sufficient thickness to support impact. Well is formed with specially manufactured form that provides additional strength, smooth finish and good appearance, as well as protection from ground water.

Installation Equipment installation, commissioning, testing and training.
Manhole Specially designed manhole. Manhole walls are reinforced concrete smooth finish and good appearance. For hydraulic system a control box above ground containing control units, oil pump and oil tank.
Drainage Water from rain or any other source is drained to inspection manhole which will be seeped in the ground or pumped out by special pump.
Galvanization For coastal areas or high humidity area, the entire blocker elements will be hot dip galvanized after production.
Operating Duty Cycle Continuous:
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

For continuous operation.

Manual Oil Pump

For hand operation of hydraulic system in case of power failure.

Traffic Signal (Red-Green) traffic signal for up and down positions.
Access Control Point

Access control point can be provided as requested.

Can be provided into the units.

Safety Loop

In order to avoid raising the blocker unit, by mistake, while allowed traffic is moving it is essential to place a safety loop before and after the blocker unit.

Pre-operation alarm/light warning system

To alert guards and traffic that the blocker is rising up.

Bollards

 

  • Made of steel tube, 5mm thick, 220 mm diameter and 900mm height from ground level.

  • Can sustain vehicle collision traveling at a speed of 30 Km/h

  • Steel tube is vacuum or solid as requested by the customer

Paint 

Three coats of primer paint and three coats of final color.

Operation  * Bollard is operated through a control panel located at control room.
* One piston for each module. The piston is made in K.S.A
Speed 4 seconds opening time and adjustable speed for closing

Options

Well  

The tubular road blocker is  placed inside a specially designed well. Well walls are reinforced concrete and special steel form to sustain impact. Well is specially formed to  provide additional strength, smooth finish and good appearance, as well as protection from ground water.

Specially designed manhole.  Manhole walls are reinforced concrete smooth finish and good appearance including all air and electrical.

Drainage Water from rain or any other source is drained to inspection manhole then to a drainage pit under the manhole, or pumped out by a special pump.
Galvanization For coastal areas or high humidity area, the entire blocker elements shall be coated.
Operation Provide the equipment with UPS for continuous operation.
Access control point

Access control point can be provided as requested

Tyre Killer

 
     
  • The part made of iron sections with 100mm height from the ground level.

  • Could be placed on the ground or as a road barricade

  • Blade made of rigid iron steel with sharp iron head,  Blade 8mm thick, 40mm width and the projecting length is 60mm to 100mm which is sufficient to punch maximum size tires.

  • Coated with three anti-erosion paints and then covered with yellow and black color. 

  • Allows passing of loaded trailer

  • Accompanied by special tools to keep it open or closed.

  • New technology such as operation by electric power, remote control or card, can be added as requested by the customer.

  • The blades descend down together on the same time to avoid causing damage on the tyre and therefore it required continuous clearance and maintenance.

  • Maintenance shall be after each three months upon requested of the customer.

  • Drainage: Rainwater or other waste water is drained to the manhole pumped through drainage channel under the manhole.

 Options

  •  Complete galvanized  to resist erosion in the humid areas.

  •  Stand steel: The surface may be covered with stand steel sheet

  •  Chrome: The surface may be covered with chrome sheet

  •  Maintenance: Each three months upon request of customer

  • Customers have a free choice of heights and widths to meet their specific requirements.

  • Can sustain vehicle collision traveling at a speed of 30 Km/h.

  • The frame and stanchions are manufactured using thick steel element to suit customer requirements. From its high quality motor and gearbox drive unit and PCB control (which runs from a single-phase supply) the gate responds quickly to operator instructions.

  • The gates can be operated by a wide range of access control systems such as proximity card, push button, keypad or radio control. These combined with induction loop or photocell safety and close facilities make them simple and reliable to operate.

  • Standard features include a manual operating override facility in case of power failure and a safety edge system, preventing the gate closing on pedestrians or vehicles.

The Manual Axis Barrier is an ideal solution for staff parking areas of larger multi-use sites, or a park and ride facility. The sturdy steel construction and aluminum pole arm can span openings as required, and can be locked in the raised and lowered positions, providing security and safety at the site.
